Cameron & Yvonne Tate - Founders

Cameron and Yvonne Tate stand at the helm of BTGOM. Before ascending to the role of executive director, Cameron enriched three Jackson-based churches with his dedication. His primary role was to fortify the bond between the church and its community, orchestrating outreach events, cultivating outreach ministries, and rallying volunteers.Cameron recognized many churches shared a mission but lacked collaboration, leading to the inception of Bridging the Gap Outreach Ministries. Alongside his professional journey, Cameron, with Yvonne, celebrated homeownership and the birth of their first child, Abel Jackson, in April 2023.

Andrea Reid- President

Pastor Andrea Reid is the Executive Pastor at CityHeart. Before founding CityHeart Church in September 2016, she co-served as Executive Pastor at Highland Chapel Church with her husband, Kevin Reid. From a young age, Andrea was deeply engaged in church activities and chose to dedicate her life to God during her college years. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Duke University and a Pastoral Ministries degree from Rhema Bible Training Center. Pastors Kevin and Andrea, married for over 13 years, are the proud parents of Kristina, Rachel and Kevin Jr.

Sara Gentry- Mapping Coordinator

Sara Gentry is a passionate Christ follower, wife, mother, and businesswoman. With a degree in Landscape Architecture from Mississippi State University, she has applied her design and critical thinking skills to various challenges, always relying on the Lord's guidance. Sara has served in roles such as installing vegetable gardens with the nonprofit MS2020 and working as a teacher's assistant in a Montessori program. She and her husband, Michael, currently attend the Gathering Church in Madison, where they actively serve in ministry and run a landscape design and maintenance business.

 

Eric Walker- Communications

Eric Walker, a visionary social entrepreneur, heads EOI Media & Strategies Group, focusing on multimedia, community engagement, and societal transformation. His initiatives have driven change in Mississippi, influenced the election of government officials, and spearheaded the state's minority COVID-19 outreach, saving numerous lives. Eric's advocacy played a pivotal role in legalizing medical marijuana, aiding countless patients. A seasoned journalist, he has bagged multiple accolades, including the Associated Press Award for outstanding achievement. Outside of work, Eric cherishes moments with his wife and two sons.

Zack Nordan- Treasurer

Zack Nordan currently serves as a Commercial Real Estate Relationship Manager at Trustmark National Bank in Jackson; MS. Zack has worked with Trustmark for over 22 years. Zack earned his BSBA and MBA in Finance at Mississippi College along with being a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking at Ole Miss and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Zack is a member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon where he currently serves as a Deacon and a LifeGroup Leader. Zack has chaired several committees at Crossgates Baptist church over the past 20 years during his membership. Zack resides in his hometown of Brandon, MS with his wife Leslie and their three children.

Aaron Tucker- Secretary

Since 2022, Aaron Tucker has led the Raymond Road Baptist Church in south Jackson. Originating from Carthage, Mississippi, he began his ministry journey at 19 and later attended Mississippi College, where he met Marion, his future wife. Aaron has served in various places, notably in Byram from 2016, and pursued his theological studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Together, Aaron and Marion are parents to four daughters, one of whom they adopted from the inner city, showcasing their dedication to cultural diversity and helping the less fortunate. The couple currently resides in Clinton with their two youngest daughters.
